BBC’s Alex Jones Reignites Feud with ‘Self-Absorbed’ Hollywood Star—Calls Them ‘Badly Brought Up’ in Fiery Clash

Alex Jones has opened up again about that unforgettable interview with Jared Leto on The One Show, and let’s just say… she didn’t mince her words. It’s been three years since the Hollywood star appeared on the programme, but for Alex, the memory is still very much alive – and not in a good way.

Reflecting on her years of hosting, Alex admitted she finds British celebs much more enjoyable to chat with. Even Robert De Niro, who was on the show recently, got a nod of approval – though she cheekily added he was “lovely afterwards.”

But when it came to Jared Leto, her patience wore thin. Speaking on the Netmums Podcast, she painted a pretty clear picture of what went down: “He was there in sort of dressed as one of the Three Musketeers and he had all this, like, I don’t know, Gucci, big shirt, sleeves billowing. I mean, he was so full of himself”, reported Daily Record.

And then she really let rip: “And I thought, no, no, no, no. Our audience is nice people, and they deserve better than this… It doesn’t cost to be polite and nice. Anybody who can’t bring those simple skills to the table, I’m out. I’m like, no, sorry, you’ve not been brought up well, then.”

This isn’t the first time she’s called him out either. On Parenting Hell with Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett last year, she didn’t even hesitate when asked about her worst guest. “He was dressed in Gucci and whatever and just so dismissive,” she recalled. “He put himself on a different plane than everybody else. I just can’t bear people like that.”

Josh and Rob both burst out laughing when they saw a photo of Jared from that interview. “Oh my word, look what he’s wearing!” Josh exclaimed. Rob added, “He looks like a Shakespearean actor. Oh, he looks hard.”

To be fair, the whole interview was uncomfortable from the get-go. Alex tried to break the ice by pointing out their matching frilly blouses, joking, “Oh my goodness, look, you got the memo, the frilly shirt, I like it, yes.” But things quickly turned sour when she mentioned Morbius might be too scary for her young son — and that WeCrashed didn’t exactly sound thrilling on paper.

Jared fired back, “Hold on, hold on, first Morbius is too scary, and now WeCrashed is too boring?” Alex challenged him to prove her wrong, to which he replied, “You watch them, and I guarantee one thing, you will definitely not be bored.” Turns out, she was bored. And not impressed.
