Ruth Langsford Drops Bombshell ‘Clear Message’ to Ex Eamonn Holmes in Unexpected Divorce Move

Ruth Langsford’s rumored plans for a divorce party are making waves, with relationship therapist Sofie Roos suggesting they send a powerful message to her ex-husband, Eamonn Holmes.

According to Heat Magazine, the Loose Women star is eager to embrace “life after divorce” and celebrate her newfound freedom with a party. “On the receipt of her being a free woman, she is going to throw a party,” a source claimed. “Her best pals have confirmed that she is on the up, while she’s left Eamonn spitting feathers in her wake.”

The couple, who share a 22-year-old son, announced their split in May after 14 years of marriage. Eamonn, now in a relationship with Katie Alexander, 42, has moved on, while Ruth, 64, appears to be focusing on herself and her loved ones.

Sofie Roos, a relationship therapist at Passionerad, views Ruth’s plans as a way to reclaim her independence and mark the end of a challenging chapter. “The party can simply work as a way for her to feel that, ‘Now the divorce is overdone with, it’s time for me to move on,’” Sofie explained.

The idea of gathering close friends for such a celebration, Sofie added, could also uplift Ruth’s spirits during this transitional period. “I actually think it’s a brilliant idea, and even though, for some, it might appear as a bit controversial, the idea is not bad at all,” she said.

Beyond the personal benefits, the therapist believes the party could subtly convey a message to Eamonn. “A part of me also thinks the party is a way of showing Eamonn that she won’t be having any problems with moving on, just as he did,” she noted.

Sofie emphasized that the celebration could symbolize Ruth turning her former shared home into a space for building new memories and connections. “Instead, their former shared home will be a ‘new place for socializing and building new strong relationships,’” she said. “I hope she’s doing it for herself!”

Ruth has remained in the couple’s Surrey home, while Eamonn is believed to have relocated to a flat in London.

As Ruth embraces her post-divorce journey, her plans for a divorce party highlight her resilience and determination to create a fulfilling new chapter on her own terms.
