Fearne Cotton Breaks Silence on Split with Candid Update: ‘That’s Not True!’

Popular broadcaster Fearne Cotton, 43, has opened up about the challenges in her personal life, sharing candid insights in a recent interview with Hello magazine. Speaking honestly, she admitted, “I can’t pretend everything’s going swimmingly. I think we all know that’s not true.”

Fearne’s remarks come in the wake of her announcement that her marriage to Jesse Wood, the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, has ended. The couple, who share two children, were married for over a decade. Taking to Instagram, Fearne shared the difficult news with her followers: “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage.” She emphasized that their “priority will always be” their children, as reported by Bristol Live.

This personal upheaval coincided with another significant challenge. Fearne recently revealed she had discovered two benign tumours on her jaw. On Instagram, she disclosed: “I’m very grateful they’re benign, but they do need to come out because they’re on a nerve. So I’m gonna have that surgery, and then I’m gonna be resting to get better before Christmas.”

After undergoing surgery to remove the tumours and taking time to recover, Fearne expressed newfound clarity and strength. She told Hello: “I’m feeling really well having had time to reflect on life. There’s a dangerous female trait of putting everyone else first, but I’m learning to make more time for myself again”, according to Lancs Live.

Benign tumours, or benign neoplasms, are non-cancerous growths that typically don’t spread to other parts of the body, according to the Cleveland Clinic. While often symptomless, they can press on surrounding tissues or nerves, which may necessitate removal.

Fearne Cotton’s career began as a children’s television presenter, and she rose to prominence in 2003 when she co-presented Top of the Pops: Saturday alongside Simon Grant. She later became a household name, appearing on popular shows like ITV’s Celebrity Juice with Keith Lemon.
