Lucy-Jo Hudson Shares Heartwarming Moment Daughter Proudly Watched Alan Halsall’s I’m A Celeb Journey

TV star Lucy-Jo Hudson, now part of the BBC One Casualty cast, appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Thursday, where she opened up about her family dynamic while her former husband Alan Halsall competed on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

The former Coronation Street couple, who share 11-year-old daughter Sienna, shocked fans in 2018 when they announced their split after nine years of marriage. Despite a public fallout, Lucy-Jo and Alan have found a way to co-parent and support their daughter through life’s milestones, including Alan’s jungle stint.

Speaking to hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Madeley, Lucy-Jo revealed how they approached Alan’s appearance on the ITV reality show as a family. She shared: “It’s a difficult situation, we are not together and I’m with Lewis, and we spoke about what do we do in the situation because he’s [Alan’s] away, he’s in Australia.”

Lucy-Jo explained how important it was for her to support Sienna during her dad’s time on the show, adding: “It was important to be there for Sienna and sit down and watch it with her. It was so she could enjoy it with someone as well, and the highs and the lows were there for her”, reported by GB News.

Despite their split, Lucy-Jo praised Alan for his efforts in the jungle, saying: “She loved it. She was really, really proud. He did great.”

During his time in the jungle, Alan frequently made a heart shape with his hands as a signal to his daughter, a gesture that melted viewers’ hearts. After leaving the camp, the Corrie actor couldn’t hold back tears during an emotional video call with Sienna.

In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Alan described the moment he connected with his daughter after leaving camp: “As soon as we got in the car, my brother had his phone out and we FaceTimed. The first ten minutes of the phone call was not much but tears, to be honest — on both sides.”

He added: “She’d cry and I’d be crying. She said that she’s missed me, she loves me, she’s proud of me. When she says that she’s proud of me, it could literally make your heart burst. That was a super, super-emotional phone call.”

Alan, now a single dad, emphasized his bond with Sienna: “It just put her first and foremost in my mind, you see, and she always is.”

The sweet moments between Alan and his daughter, coupled with Lucy-Jo’s unwavering support, highlighted how they’ve managed to navigate co-parenting while prioritizing Sienna’s happiness.
