Queen Camilla Decides to Outshine Meghan Markle with a Bold Move

Queen Camilla appears to be stepping into the spotlight in a new and unexpected way, seemingly following in Meghan Markle’s footsteps. According to reports, the Queen Consort is about to make her debut on TikTok as a “book influencer,” becoming the first member of the royal family to do so.

As revealed by The Telegraph, Vicki Perrin, chief executive of The Queen’s Reading Room charity and wife of King Charles, confirmed that Queen Camilla will be using TikTok’s popular BookTok platform to encourage young people to embrace reading.

“Never say never,” Vicki Perrin said. “I’ve been so pleased at seeing how BookTok has exploded.”

She further emphasized the significance of promoting literature: “To my mind, there’s nothing more important than trying to get the message across that books are for everyone.”

Highlighting the inclusive nature of BookTok, Perrin added, “You have people from all different walks of life saying, ‘This is a book that has moved me,’ and that is so much more important than anything else.”

The Queen’s Reading Room was established in January 2021 with the mission of celebrating and promoting the benefits of reading on a global scale.

Camilla’s decision to join TikTok could add pressure on Meghan Markle, who has seen a decline in popularity in recent months. As The Hollywood Reporter recently noted, Markle has been criticized by former employees who referred to her as “Duchess difficult.” With Queen Camilla gaining attention on a platform like TikTok, this move could pose a threat to Meghan’s spotlight.
