Devoted Dad’s Heartbreaking Final Call to Wife Before Sudden Death on Stag Do

A father of two tragically passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack during a stag do in Liverpool. Billy Morley, 45, made a heartbreaking phone call to his wife, Ashley, just an hour before his death, telling her, “I’m really anxious, I’ve not slept.”

Billy, a devoted husband and father, had left his Cleator Moor home in Cumbria for a fun trip with friends but sadly passed away in his hotel room on June 30. Billy, a builder and loyal Liverpool FC supporter, had been feeling anxious during the trip. In the early hours of the morning, he spoke to Ashley, who reassured him to get some rest before their upcoming family holiday.

Later that morning, Billy expressed increasing anxiety in another phone call, prompting Ashley to offer to book him an early train home. “I told him I’d call him back in 30 minutes to see how he was,” Ashley recalled. Tragically, by the time she tried to call again, there was no answer.

She told the Liverpool Echo: A friend on the trip later informed Ashley that Billy was with paramedics. After a tense wait, Ashley received the devastating news that Billy had passed away from a massive heart attack. “The phone call still doesn’t seem real,” Ashley said. Ashley shared memories of their eight-year relationship, describing Billy as her “person” and reminiscing about their immediate connection after meeting on a night out.

“Some people never get what me and Billy had in their lifetime,” she reflected. Billy, a father to 5-year-old April and stepfather to 13-year-old Jack, was described as an incredible dad who adored his family. “He was an absolutely brilliant dad. April was his world,” Ashley said. She also expressed her gratitude to those who helped Billy during his final moments. “It breaks my heart that he wasn’t at home, but I’m glad her last memory of her dad is him giving her a little kiss before he went.”

Ashley now faces life without Billy but finds strength in their children and the memories of the love they shared. In a touching tribute, she described him as “amazing,” “funny,” and always willing to help others. “Every day is totally different now,” she said, holding on to the cherished memories of their time together.
