Ruth Langsford Rallies Behind Coleen Nolan for Game-Changing New Project

Coleen Nolan has found strength in the support of her Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford as she unveils a deeply personal new project centered around grief. The 59-year-old singer-turned-TV host, who has experienced her share of family tragedy, including the loss of her sister Bernie to cancer in 2013 and her sister Linda’s ongoing battle with the disease, has channeled her experiences into a new book titled A Hand to Hold.

Released on Friday, the book is described as a “friendly, compassionate, and supportive companion for anyone faced with loss.” Coleen, who also hosts a podcast on grief, revealed that the book is inspired by her own life and her desire to offer comfort to others navigating similar challenges, told The Mirror.

To promote A Hand to Hold, Coleen has been traveling to various cities to meet fans and sign copies. She highlighted the book on her social media channels, where she received an outpouring of support from friends and fans alike. In an Instagram post, Coleen shared a video of herself holding a copy of the book, expressing her excitement about its release.

She wrote, “It’s finally here! A Hand to Hold is officially released today! I poured my heart and soul into this book, and I hope it provides comfort, support, and a sense of companionship to everyone who reads it. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Grab your copy today and let’s walk through this together.”

Her post was met with warm messages of encouragement, including a comment from Ruth Langsford, who wrote, “Proud of you my lovely friend. This will help so many people. Thanks for sharing.” Radio host Lizzie Cundy also chimed in, saying, “Huge congratulations darling … can’t wait to get a copy.”

On Friday, Coleen visited Blackpool for a book signing, sharing highlights from the event on Instagram. “BLACKPOOL!! Thank you to everyone who came out to my book signing in @waterstonesbpl,” she wrote. “I’ve signed loads of copies, so if you didn’t make it down today you can pick one up in-store!”

The next day, she continued her book tour in Liverpool, writing, “Good morning, everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine this weekend. It’s been a busy week here with book signings and family time in Blackpool. If you’re nearby later today, I’ll be at @waterstonesliverpool at 2 pm.” Coleen’s new book, A Hand to Hold, is now available, and she continues to share her journey and offer support to those in need.
