Frail Eamonn Holmes Assisted Out of Mayfair Restaurant as He Struggles with Walking Frame

Eamonn Holmes, the former This Morning presenter and current GB News anchor, was recently spotted in Mayfair, where he enjoyed a swanky dinner outing at Langan’s Brasserie. However, the 64-year-old appeared frail as he left the posh establishment, with friends helping him navigate his way to a waiting Range Rover. Using a walking frame, Eamonn looked as though he was struggling, still visibly recovering from surgery that had kept him off work for some time.

Dressed in his signature suit, Eamonn managed to look dapper despite his apparent discomfort. His friends were seen guiding him into the blacked-out vehicle, holding onto his arms as he carefully made his way out of the lavish eatery. This outing comes after Eamonn has been spending time out of the capital with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, following a period of seclusion from the public eye, told the Mirror.

The TV world was taken aback earlier this year when Eamonn and his former co-star Ruth Langsford, both 64, announced their plans to divorce in May. The news shocked fans of the longtime This Morning duo, who had been a staple on British television for years. While Eamonn returned to the screen shortly after the announcement, taking his place on GB News, Ruth decided to step back from her role on Loose Women.

Amid their separation, Eamonn’s absence from the GB News Breakfast Show, which he co-hosts with Isabel Webster, has not gone unnoticed by viewers. He recently announced that he would be on holiday until “next week,” with Stephen Dixon stepping in last minute to cover for him alongside Ellie Costello.

Speculation has been rife regarding the couple’s split, with reports suggesting that Ruth has asked Eamonn to collect his remaining belongings from their Surrey home. According to Bella magazine, Eamonn has already moved into a London flat, and Ruth is eager to start anew, possibly even considering changing the locks. “Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits. She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks,” a source explained.

Ruth recently quashed any rumors of a potential reunion between her and Eamonn, telling singer Sinitta, “Not everyone can do that,” referring to maintaining friendships post-breakup. Meanwhile, Eamonn expressed hope that he and Ruth could remain friends after their separation, though he admitted it was “too soon” to tell.

The situation took a more dramatic turn when reports emerged that Ruth discovered messages between Eamonn and another woman on a laptop. These revelations reportedly left Ruth feeling “hurt,” particularly after learning that Eamonn had been receiving comfort from Katie Alexander, a 42-year-old relationship counsellor and friend of the broadcaster. Katie’s former husband has since expressed his sympathies to Ruth, sharing that he was “heartbroken” after his own marriage ended and that it took him years to “recover.” He remarked, “She’s going through what I did after our marriage ended.”
