“Don’t Say I Don’t Do You Favours”: Adil Ray Left Red-Faced by Andi Peters’ Risqué Joke on GMB

Good Morning Britain’s Adil Ray found himself in an awkward moment during Thursday’s episode of the ITV show, thanks to a cheeky quip from co-presenter Andi Peters. The incident unfolded as Andi was explaining a new competition and the entry options available to viewers.

Using props to make his point, Andi held up a single banana in one hand and five bananas in the other, illustrating that a single entry cost £2 while five entries cost £5. “So this one here is much better for value. Don’t say I don’t do you favors. I might not be Martin Lewis—” Andi began, but before he could finish, Adil Ray humorously interrupted, claiming that Andi’s banana analogy had actually made things more confusing, told Daily Express.

The studio erupted in laughter as Andi tossed the bananas aside and continued explaining the competition details. As the segment drew to a close, Charlotte Hawkins admitted that her attention had been captured by the bananas, setting the stage for Andi’s risqué remark.

“Yeah, I have it all the time—people are distracted by my banana,” Andi quipped, prompting an awkward silence in the studio. Sensing the discomfort, Adil quickly steered the conversation away, saying, “Let’s move on!”

While the banter may have amused some, not all viewers were entertained by Andi’s suggestive joke. One Twitter user expressed their displeasure, commenting, “Andi Peters always goes too far with his sexual references on #gmb.”

This incident occurred amid a week of shake-ups in ITV’s daytime schedule, with BBC’s Race Across the World celebrity Jeff Brazier stepping in temporarily to deliver competition updates. However, Andi Peters was back on Friday, reclaiming his usual spot and even taking a playful jab at his temporary replacement.

Speaking with Adil, Andi couldn’t resist saying, “That’s why you got Jeff. Now I’m back, Jeff’s like, ‘Oh, he came back, did he?’ Yeah, I did!”

The show has seen several changes recently, with many stars taking time off for summer holidays. Weather presenter Laura Tobin announced a 10-day sunny break, with Des Coleman stepping in to cover for her. Meanwhile, the main presenting team has also seen a revolving door of talent, as Susanna Reid announced her return for September.

Despite the brief moment of discomfort, Andi Peters’ playful nature remains a staple of Good Morning Britain’s charm, ensuring that viewers never quite know what to expect each morning.
