Harry and Meghan Over Alleged Family Disconnection of Lilibet and Archie

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing criticism for their decision to raise their children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, away from the British Royal Family in the United States. Since relocating in 2020, the family has made only one visit to the UK, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

King Charles reportedly has limited contact with his younger son and grandchildren. This includes a phone call on his 75th birthday, but overall, interactions are believed to be minimal.

According to a report by GB News, Columnist Sarah Vine, known for her commentary on the Royal Family, expressed concerns about the Duke of Sussex’s desire for an apology from his family. Speaking to Palace Confidential, she critiqued Prince Harry’s focus on himself, neglecting the impact of his actions on his father, brother, and children.

Vine emphasized the potential consequences for Archie and Lilibet growing up distant from their British relatives. She speculated about the children’s future realization of their royal heritage and the missed opportunities to connect with their grandfather, the King of England.

Prince Archie spent the initial five months of his life in the UK, born at Portland Hospital in London on May 6, 2019. He even accompanied his parents on a royal tour to South Africa when he was just four months old.

Princess Lilibet, however, has a distinct distinction in the royal family history. Born on June 3, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, she is the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II to be born outside of the UK.

The couple’s decision to raise their children in the US has been a subject of ongoing debate, with differing opinions on the implications for the young royals and their relationship with the British Royal Family.
