Princess Eugenie’s Battle with Food Issues Caused by Harsh Public Criticism

Princess Eugenie has candidly discussed the impact of public criticism on her eating habits and self-image. The 33-year-old royal, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has faced challenges due to negative comments about her body and fashion choices.

Being in the public eye, she found that her move to Portugal offered a respite, allowing her the freedom to dress without attracting attention.

In a conversation on the ‘Table Manners‘ podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Eugenie reflected on the pressures of maintaining a flawless appearance and the resultant issues with food. She highlighted the difficulty of navigating adolescence in the public eye, particularly when facing criticism instead of reassurance.

Eugenie, who is a mother of two young children with her husband Jack Brooksbank, also spoke about the future of the Royal Family. She believes that her uncle, King Charles, and cousin, the Prince of Wales, are not aiming to ‘modernize’ the monarchy deliberately. Instead, their approach reflects a commitment to their belief systems and adapting to contemporary values and global perspectives.”
