Fears Grow for Missing 19-Year-Old in Spain After Disturbing Final Text

Concerns are mounting for a missing 19-year-old woman in Spain after she sent a distressing message to a friend before her phone went dead. Amy, whose last name has not been disclosed, disappeared on the island of Lanzarote on Wednesday, September 11, and has not been seen since.

In a post shared on social media, Amy’s family revealed that she sent a WhatsApp message to a friend abroad at around 8 p.m. that evening. The chilling message, written in English, simply read: “I’m in s**t.” After sending the text, Amy’s phone stopped working, heightening concerns about her safety.

Amy sent the message from the Open Mall shopping center in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote, according to her father, Cris. Although Amy’s family lives in Tenerife, she works in Arrecife, where she runs her own boat maintenance business at the Lanzarote Marina, reports Daily Express.

Her family described Amy as “very responsible” and emphasized that her sudden disappearance was completely out of character. In a social media post, they wrote: “It is not normal for her family, who are very worried and are traveling to Lanzarote to find her.”

Amy’s father filed a missing person report with the Policia Nacional in Tenerife on Thursday, following her unexplained disappearance. The family is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities have asked anyone who may have information on Amy’s whereabouts to call 644 388 744 or contact the Policia Nacional as the search continues. Amy’s disappearance has sparked widespread concern, and her family is hopeful that the public’s help will bring her home safely.
